Day 122 of 365 days in the community garden

Two of our youngest volunteers enjoying a ride on top of a compost-filled wheelbarrow. Love their enthusiasm for everything from worms to weeds! Their laughter and bright faces bring a smile to everyone in the garden. (Thank you to their wonderful mom for involving them in the garden, and allowing us to take these photos and publish them on the blog).

"Children are born with a sense of wonder and an affinity for Nature.  Properly cultivated, these values can mature into ecological literacy, and eventually  into sustainable patterns of living.Zenobia Barlow, Confluence of Streams
