Day 46 of 365 days in the community garden

How have your tomatoes been this season? Our best two varieties were "Patio Tomato" (which don't need as much staking) and "Sweet 100" (a heavy-cropping, large cherry-type tomato) - the rest of our tomatoes did relatively well too. We found that all the tomatoes that were surrounded by weeds were left well alone by birds which was great - the birds obviously couldn't easily find the juicy red tomatoes hidden amoungst the greenery!
