Day 35 of 365 days in the community garden

Marshmallow bush (Althaea officinalis) - a statuesque bush with medicinal and ornamental uses. We've planted it in the middle of our herb garden so that it doesn't obscure other plants due to its height. As the name suggests, the root was used in the production of the earliest marshmallows.
